Independent Eyewear · Ada Village · Since 1977

The greatest assembly of independent eyewear lines — fitted by hand in Ada Village.

A small gallery for designer frames. We curate the houses, fit them by hand, and keep the old opticianry alive. No exams. No insurance counter. Just frames worth looking at.

01 — The idea

We thrive on expert craft and creativity — not marketing exercises and slavish trendiness.

That line is forty-nine years old and we still mean it. Cascade is a boutique, not a chain and not a clinic. We do not run eye exams or chase the season's trend wall. We assemble the best independent eyewear houses in the world, fit each frame by hand, and keep the old opticians' abilities — fitting, lens work, repair, personalization — that almost no other shop has kept.

Our clientele is the contrarian sort, which is the best sort. Individuals and strong characters. If that sounds like you, you already know where Ada Village is.

01

A frame is an object.

Pearl-white acetate cut into a soft round, the tortoise grain pooling at the rim, square rivets at the hinge. Held to the light, it casts its own portrait. This is how we think about every frame on the wall — not a SKU, a small piece of design you wear on your face all day.

HyperOptik Spectacle Studio

Old-school opticianry, kept alive.

Fitting, lens work, repair, personalization, customizing — the abilities almost no other shop has kept. It started in 1977 with custom lens tints on a hundred-dollar bench, and the studio still does the careful work by hand.

The shop incorporates and takes the name it still carries today.

1993High-end independent

The focus narrows to exclusive, independent eyewear and old-school opticianry — and never widens back.
